MOVEBR Florida Corridor Enhancement

Florida Blvd (I-110 to Airline Highway)
Foundation Investment

The Florida Boulevard Corridor Enhancements project is part of the MOVEBR program, a voter-approved transportation initiative funding major infrastructure improvements across East Baton Rouge Parish. Now under construction in phases, this project focuses on the segment of Florida Boulevard between I-110 and Airline Highway, with improvements to pedestrian access, corridor safety, and multimodal connectivity.

The concept plan includes sidewalk infill, enhanced crosswalks, improved access to transit stops, and bicycle accommodations where feasible.  CCEDD and the Florida Corridor Plan play a key role in aligning these infrastructure improvements with broader redevelopment priorities, ensuring that design decisions support long-term corridor revitalization and future investment.
